BAKERY-PASRTY Section [P]

The “Bread of the Year” trophy has always been one of the most prestigious awards at GastroPan exhibition. Hundreds of bakers from all across the country show their latest type of breads made by their own recipes and technologies. In order to give equal chances for both industrial and artisan producers, the organizers have split the bread category of the competition into 2 separate sections:


P1A Category: Industrial Bread of the Year 2018 made in Romania

This section includes contestants representing industrial bakeries with a minimum daily production of 300 kg of bread.



P1B Category: Artisan Bread of the Year 2018 made in Romania

This section includes contestants representing artisan bakeries with a maximum daily production of 100 kg of bread. Suppliers of products and services for bakeries, confectioneries or restaurants can support the competitions by providing prizes to the winners.



Art and creativity... made of bread dough
One of the most spectacular parts of the competition is the artistic category, where bakers will prove their artistic skills showing interesting pieces created from bread dough.

Award for the best pastry products

The bakers are also expected to show their baking skills in the pastry category, where they have to bring delicious pastry products that support a healthy lifestyle.
