GastroPan International Exhibition, the most important trade fair for the baking, confectionery, pastry, hospitality technologies in Southeastern and Central Europe, is starting on 19th of April 2018. The exhibition is organized in Romania by Boro-Info, editor of the leading Romanian specialized magazines, Brutarul-Cofetarul and Gastromedia, and is supported by Romanian and international professional associations. The trade fair takes place at Imperial Inn Exhibition Center, in Targu Mures, 19-22th of April. More than 150 exhibitors, suppliers of products, services and technologies for businesses in the above industries will meet visitors, representatives from bakeries, confectioneries, pastry shops, hotels, restaurants, cafés and other hospitality units. Also, the Products of the Year will be awarded and we will find out who wins the Bread of 2018 and Cake of 2018 trophies.
Record numbers at the 10th edition of GastroPan
GastroPan Exhibition arrives to its 10th edition. Throughout the past 10 years the trade fair grew together with the market - managers, producers, suppliers and specialists in the bakery, confectionery and HoReCa sectors. The number of exhibitors with stands reserved at GastroPan 2018 exceeds 150, marking a new record as regards the variety of exhibited solutions. The exhibition space also grew to 4 halls, outdoor exhibiting spaces, a special hall dedicated to GastroPan Competitions totalizing 7,800 sqm. Apart from the fact that twice as many equipment suppliers will exhibit at GastroPan, the number of exhibitors coming from outside of Romania increased too, being attracted by the potential they see on the Romanian market. This year visitors will have 4 days to visit the fair.
Prizes for GastroPan 2018 visitors
On the occasion of GastroPan’s anniversary edition, every day at 14 o'clock a raffle will take place at which visitors can win prizes offered by organizers and suppliers. The luckiest visitors can win utensils, accessories, product samples or packages, vouchers offered by suppliers, free subscriptions to Gastromedia and Brutarul-Cofetarul magazines, and vouchers with intensive practical courses for bakers, confectioners or chefs.
Attraction for visitors and mass media: GastroPan Competitions
The most talented bakers, confectioners and chefs will be awarded at GastroPan Competitions this year. They will compete in 10 competition categories grouped in 3 sections: BAKERY-PASTRY, CONFECTIONERY, GASTRONOMY. Competitors receive prizes offered by the sponsors of GastroPan Competitions, sponsors such as Vel Pitar, Lumea Basmelor, Green Sugar, PanGastRo Association, etc.
A new prize waiting to be handed: the GastroPan Anniversary Trophy
In a new competition category, organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of GastroPan, the most spectacular artistic compositions made of sugar, chocolate, isomalt, bread dough, and fruit or vegetable carvings will be awarded.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of GastroPan, the winners of the past 10 years’ GastroPan Competitions will receive the Anniversary Special Prize to show appreciation for demonstrating their talent in the GastroPan Competitions over the years.
4 days of dynamic programs
The first three days of the exhibition will host the three sections of GastroPan Competitions: BAKERY-PASTRY, CONFECTIONERY, GASTRONOMY. Sunday, April 22, will be dedicated to coffee and ice cream, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the market's novelties, to participate at tasting campaigns and demo shows of preparing and serving coffee and ice cream. During the four-day event the exhibitors will present the latest solutions and technologies dedicated to the industry, visitors having the opportunity to test how they work and to participate in culinary shows, workshops, demo shows and tasting campaigns.
The President of German Baker’s Confederation attends GastroPan
GastroPan exhibition is supported by the some of the most important professional associations: Association of Specialists in the Romanian Baking and Food Service Industry (PanGastRo), Romanian Employers’ League of the Milling, Bakery and Flour Based Products Industry (ROMPAN), Union of Bakers and Confectioners (UIBC), Romanian National Association of Flour Milling and Baking Industries (ANAMOB), Romanian National Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Tourism (ANBCT), Euro-Toques Romania or World Association of Chefs' Societies. This year the President of German Baker’s Confederation, Michael Wippler will also attend GastroPan, together with the project coordinator at Messe München, Nadja Düll, who will hold a presentation the exhibition on Saturday, April 21st.
